The Scout sat in the back of my mind for years, and so did a question I couldn’t ignore: could I bring it back into family life without losing the expeditions that had shaped me? It was a crossroads; something had to give. This is the story of finally making space for a passion I’ve carried for decades, for the memories with my Pa and Dad, the chance to make new ones with my kids, and the call to keep helping people in the world’s hardest-to-reach places.

“I realised I didn’t need to choose one passion over the other… I just needed to make them work together.”

The Scout has been part of my story since 1998, but life, family, work, and humanitarian expeditions kept pushing it to the back of the shed.

This project is my way of:

  • taking on a challenge that actually pushes me
  • turning the Scout’s attention into fuel for future aid work and expeditions
  • bringing a community along for the journey
  • creating gear, merch and moments that help fund the next aid mission
Scout Rescue
“This isn’t a trophy build. It’s a purpose-built machine with a bigger story behind it.”

Every Scout has stories to tell. If you have a Scout with a story, reach out… I’d love to document it. I want to honour the history and help power the next chapter not just for my family, but for you and the people I’ll continue to visit and support around the world.

Aid Mission
“SixtyScout is becoming the platform that helps drive future aid missions forward.”

If any of that resonates, the adventure, dad life with purpose, meaningful impact, or just a classic machine reborn, then follow along, subscribe, share it with friends, offer ideas, or support the project if the time is right.

Yes, there might be a Kickstarter or GoFundMe.
Yes, there’ll be rewards and giveaways.
Yes, you might ride in the Scout.

This is the story behind the story. And it’s just getting started.
